Hey guys. How are you? Depleted? Exhausted?
One of the top inquiries I get from clients is about wanting help finding more energy in their life. Whether it's that spark, that loss of sense of self, they're in just a perpetual state of languish, or they're feeling no energy, this is such a common concern. Of course we have to first start with the really important practical things such as, getting eight hours of sleep, non-negotiably, you need to be eating balanced, full energizing meals, you need to be finding movement every single day, and have a mental discipline practice (meditation FTW).
1. Make a Creative Energy List.
I've been using this method to help people become re-energized for a long time and it's proven to be invigorating and awakening. Make a list of what energizes you and rank it. It'll take three minutes, maybe less, and it'll remind you of what in your life energizes you. Maybe it's not in your life right now, and that's the whole problem. Refer back to this list when you need a pick me up and ensure you're scheduling or implicating the ones that energize you the most. Here are some possibilities to add to your list:
Nature
Color
Travel
Thoughts
Intuition
Love
Movement
Music
Connections
Traveling
Drive
Boundaries
2. Breath of Fire.
This energizing, agni-activating and solar plexus-connecting (center of self, transformation and personal power) breathing technique is clarifying and invigorating. The breath is a passive inhale and sharp exhale both through the nose. You'll feel a gentle pulsing in the solar plexus of your belly with every breath. 3-5 rounds of 30 breaths with breaks as needed in between will do you wonders.

Most importantly, make it fun, make it nice, make it easy on yourself. You know what a huge energy drain is? Not having fun along the way.
